For the 2025 Chewbacchus parade, the Overlords have decreed the theme shall be The Rise of the Superb Owl, which takes inspiration from the FX show What We do in the Shadows.  As royalty, they have selected longtime krewe member and captain of the Vampiric Council, Meghan Davis, to lead the parade and summon the owl. She shall be known as the Conjurer of Cosmic Creativity, Summoner of the Superb Owl, and Queen of Darkness.  

Meghan will be joined by Emmy-nominated actor Mark Proksch—widely beloved for his role as Colin Robinson, the notorious energy vampire, in FX’s hit series What We Do in the Shadows.

Mark Proksch will take on the title of The Grand Siphon and Master of the Mundane, Intergalactic Yo-Yo Champion, and Parade Comptroller, an honor that reflects both his comedic prowess and his unique contributions to pop culture. Proksch’s portrayal of Colin Robinson has captured hearts and laughs alike, endearing him to fans of the supernatural comedy for his humorously mundane energy-draining powers. As we embrace the energy (and humor) of What We Do in the Shadows, Mark’s participation aligns with our theme’s playful nod to the Emmy-nominated show and its brilliant “Superb Owl” pun.

Of course, the council is happy to spread the word of the Owl with the masses, and as the parade falls the weekend before the Super Bowl takes place in New Orleans the message should be well received. Be sure to joing us for the cosmic festivities on February 1st! All Hail!
