Inaugural Roll 2023

Our inaugural roll was a resounding success! We rolled as a part of the Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus on January 28, 2023 with approximately 70 vampires meandering through the Bywater and French Quarter, which was an astounding number for a first-year krewe! Our contraptions were a hearse driven by Baron Afanas and a Coffin that was full of blood bags and kegs full of Fangria for the whole krewe to stay hydrated and avoid feeding on hapless parade-goers. We were accompanied by some extremely capable and highly trained Red Shirts, Chewbacchus' version of security escorts. Each Red Shirt was equipped with garlic, crosses, neck armor, and flasks and water pistols filled with holy water, so the vampires were held in check from attacking the crowds (it was a condition of our being allowed to march, and we accepted).
